Can training only be conducted in a classroom?<\/h4>
\n

Certainly, yes, if operational capability is not required; otherwise, a structured training program specific to the need is necessary.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Is it correct to say “confined spaces”?<\/h4>
\n

According to Italian regulations, they are defined as “Confined workspaces or suspected polluted environments.” However, internationally, they are generally referred to as “confined spaces.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Is the 8-hour course for the use of Category 3 fall protection PPE sufficient for all working at heights tasks?<\/h4>
\n

No. Annex XXI of Legislative Decree 81\/08 specifies the skills required for work at height involving access and positioning using ropes. On average, the 8-hour course qualifies for the use of restraint\/holding, anti-fall and positioning devices; however, if we think of use in complex work sites, 8 hours may NOT be sufficient, it all depends on the Risk Assessment carried out by the Employer.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Does your Category 3 fall protection PPE course for working at heights also cover the rescue of a person suspended in a harness?<\/h4>
\n

Yes, it covers basic rescue maneuvers, and in the “advanced” courses, it includes various types of rescue techniques.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What is the difference between “libera < CM 60” and “libera > CM 60”?<\/h4>
\n

In both cases, it involves a person suspended in their harness following a fall due to illness, tripping, etc., where it is possible that a fall protection system equipped with an energy absorber is in place. The substantial difference is not only related to the forces involved (fall factor) but also, and above all, to the possibility of performing an immediate rescue (consider, for example, the average length of an arm and therefore the ability to reach the injured person immediately).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What does the course for installers allow me to do?<\/h4>
\n

While there is no specific legal requirement regarding this, our course allows you to acquire the status of a qualified installer and maintainer of Genesi products. Additionally, it provides the necessary general competencies that a skilled installer should possess.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Is the IRATA International course valid in Italy?<\/h4>
\n

Not everyone is aware of the value of an IRATA course, so it is possible to come across somebody or company with ‘blindfolds’ that does not accept it. In order to ‘solve’ the issue Genesi, issues the double certification with the same course, subject to the favourable opinion of the examination board.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What are the requirements for the validity of a course?<\/h4>
\n

Attendance of at least 90% of the classroom and 100% of the practical hours; at least 70% of the answers correct and no major discrepancies in the practical test.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Do you also offer courses in languages other than Italian?<\/h4>
\n

Teachers and instructors in French and\/or English are available on request.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How long do the courses last?<\/h4>
\n

All Genesi Academy courses last three years, with the exception of courses for rescue workers, which must be renewed annually, and courses for installers, which must be renewed whenever there are new products or new regulations. Furthermore, the requalification of courses for the use of insulating APVR according to the Ministerial Decree of 2 May 2001 may have different deadlines.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I recently took an 8-hour basic confined space course with you. Does it also qualify me for work at height?<\/h4>
\n

It depends. The rule requires that two safety points must always be respected when working at height with the use of category 3 PPE; generally, the first point is the stability of the operator and the second the restraint or fall arrest system. When it is necessary to ‘suspend’ the operator, the 2-point rule must still be respected; first of all, two separate anchorage points are required, therefore, two separate safety systems: one for suspension and the other as a ‘back-up’. That said, the technician’s training must also be adequate.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How long does a category 3 textile PPE last?<\/h4>
\n

It depends on several factors, such as the manufacturer’s indications as to the materials used, the quantity and quality of use; in all cases, ‘textile’ materials are petroleum derivatives and as such certainly have a pre-determined life span.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How long can a connector be used for?<\/h4>
\n
