What is the Vertical X 2.0 lifeline and what is it used for.
Vertical X 2.0 is a guided type vertical fall arrest device, designed to protect operators exposed to the risk of falling from a height during access and work at height on fixed ladders or vertical structures.
The system consists of a vertical rigid anchorage line and the GTFA guided fall arrest device with an integrated energy absorber, which helps reduce the forces transmitted to the user and the structure in the event of a fall.
Each operator uses their own GTFA device, which can be inserted at any point on the line and is equipped with an automatic locking system in case of a fall. Vertical X 2.0 allows for simultaneous use by up to 3 operators, maintaining a minimum distance of 3 meters between each user.
To complete the system at the bottom of the rigid anchorage line, Vertical X 2.0 can be configured with two different tensioners:
- The PRO VEX325 tensioner integrates a tension indicator, allowing for an immediate check of the correct cable tensioning both during installation and during periodic inspections.
- The LIGHT VEX336 tensioner ensures the correct tensioning of the rigid line with a more essential solution, without a visual tension indicator.
If the work requires access at height, the VEX116 landing gate can be added as an accessory. It can be installed on the ladder stile using dedicated brackets and consists of two upper handles, which facilitate the operator’s passage, and a certified anchorage point, which makes the connection and disconnection operations of the GTFA device safer.
