SK-21 Guardrails: Safety and Design for Generali S.p.a.
Installation of custom SK-21 guardrails, compliant with EN ISO 14122-3:2016 standards, for perfect aesthetic and functional integration.

Generali S.p.a., one of the leading Italian insurance companies, has chosen Genesi Protection to secure roofings at its headquarters in Mogliano Veneto (Italy).

The challenge was to ensure maximum protection for workers operating at heights, without compromising the aesthetic of the landscape.

The solution: Customization and installation of the Genesi SK-21 Guardrail

To meet this need, Genesi Protection has installed more than 2,000 meters of completely customized SK-21 guardrails.

The solution implemented in Generali S.p.a. employs the SK-21 collective protection device with the following specificities:

• Conformity: The device complies with the technical standard EN ISO 14122-3:2016;
• Customized Color: Painted in the specific color requested by Generali Italia, which allowed a greater integration with the surrounding environment, reducing the visual impact;
• Quality materials: Made of special aluminum alloys to ensure lightness and weather resistance;
• Installation versatility: The modularity of SK-21 allowed to use two of its different configurations: self-supporting and floor-standing, to ensure the safety of the operators on the various roofings respecting the specificities of the structure.

Project Steps:

1. Site inspection: Detailed assessment of the area to identify specific safety and integration needs;
2. Presentation and Approval: Detailed illustration of the benefits associated with the use of the SK-21 safety system and the configurations and customizations chosen. It was also essential to add a special custom configuration;
3. Realization: Painting each SK-21 guardrail component of the specific color requested by the customer. This phase required advanced techniques and precise control in coloring, due to the aluminum alloy composition of the guardrail;
4. Installation of guardrails and closure of the site: Installation carried out by specialized technicians and final check to ensure the highest quality of the installation. This final step was managed by digital documentation, made available to the customer.

The intervention provided a secure working environment for Generali Italia’s staff, seamlessly blending into the existing structure.
