Securing the Oil Tower and DiVertical Attractions

Mirabilandia, the largest amusement park in Italy, located in Emilia-Romagna, has once again placed its trust in Genesi Protection solutions.

We are proud to have collaborated with the Mirabilandia team, who prioritize the safety of their employees and park guests.

The goal was to ensure the safety of operators during maintenance activities on the attractions: Oil Tower and DiVertical, both of which reach heights of up to 60 meters.

After a detailed analysis of the structures and potential risks, the technicians identified the optimal solution to be the installation of 5 Alux Rail: 4 for the Oil Tower attraction and 1 for the DiVertical.

These Type D anchor devices, compliant with EN 795:2012, CEN/TS16415:2013, and UNI11578:2015 standards, combined with XR10 mobile anchor devices, ensure smooth and unrestricted movement, providing a secure stop for operators in the event of a fall or slip.

The Alux Rail is highly resistant to corrosion and weathering, offering a high degree of protection in any weather condition.

This is a crucial aspect, as the maintenance phases for this specific case are conducted outdoors.

During the installation, two structures were mounted on the DiVertical to secure the track with counterplates, avoiding the need to drill into the structure and thus maintaining its integrity.

Additionally, to enhance safety for work at heights, two Allukemi Step gangways were installed, creating safe walkways over 50 meters above the ground.

The collaboration with Mirabilandia has fully achieved its goal: ensuring the safety of operators during work at heights and the maintenance of attractions, thanks to innovative, durable, and resilient solutions.
